A Faith-Fueled Housing Initiative in the Ville
Across the United States, there are 955 streets named in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Yet far too many of these streets, including our own, bear the scars of deliberate disinvestment and neglect.

Where it all began
Quality Housing For All
The We Build Together Housing Initiative, spearheaded by Catholic parishes in north St. Louis, is dedicated to revitalizing the historic Ville neighborhood by transforming vacant lots and abandoned buildings into affordable, high-quality homes. This initiative is deeply rooted in faith, dignity, and community renewal, aiming to restore hope through housing.
At We Build Together, our hands are guided by the Gospel and our hearts are shaped by the Church’s call to justice. We believe that every person carries the divine imprint of God, deserving of dignity, safety, and belonging. Our work is an act of faith, a living reflection of Catholic Social Teaching: to care for the poor, to defend the dignity of work, to stand with the marginalized, and to build communities rooted in love.
We do not just raise walls; we raise hope. We do not just pour foundations; we pour out compassion. Together, with Christ as our cornerstone, we are building a future where every neighbor is known, cherished, and home.
Building homes, restoring hope, taking action rooted in our catholic faith.
The community will decide the type of homes we build.
